Now Enrolling for Summer Camp 2008

 

Looking Foward Kingwood Montessori is excited to announce that it was proudly and successfully represented by students, parents and staff at the Greenleaf Conference in Indianapolis on June 5th 2008. The group presented the schools work on the “Peace and Service” course to a wonderful preconference group, including Jack Lowe of TD Industries; he is also on the Board of Trustees for the Center, jack.lowe@tdindustries.com. Our incredible representatives were Victor Villegas and Sreeya Cherlo (3rd grade), Divya Cherlo (1st grade), Lydia Cepeda (Victors mother), Sree Cherlo, Judith Kirkeeide (Lower elementary teacher) and Kate Broughton (Peace and Service teacher). There is no doubt that these students made an impression on the audience; they will be reporting their experiences back to the school at the beginning of the new school year. The study was lead by Margit Watts of the University of Hawaii at Manoa Institute; six schools presented their one year study on Servant-Leadership and Civic Engagement, throughout the day.
